About the Position
The Texas Star Dinner Theater, located in Historic Downtown Grapevine, is the permanent home of Lone Star Murder Mysteries. Lone Star Murder Mysteries are produced by Lagniappe Productions, a professional entertainment company with more than 40 years of experience. We are seeking an Assistant House Manager for the Texas Star Dinner Theater. This is an on-going, as-needed position with an emphasis on customer relations, problem solving, and staff management.

This position works Friday and Saturday evenings from 4pm-11pm and occasional private events throughout the week at various times. The ideal candidate would work three weekends a month.

Job Description:
• Works four to six shows a month and occasional weeknight performances
• Move tables to assigned configuration and prepare theater for audience
• House Management onsite during murder mystery productions acting as the primary point of contact for all catering/guest/actor questions or issues
• Responsible for picking up required paperwork from the production office in Keller on show days prior to shift
• Checks guests in upon arrival
• Processes walk-up ticket purchases and merchandise sales
• Opens and closes the theater
• Addresses disruptive guests during the performance to maintain integrity of the show

• Prefer bachelor’s or associate degree with management experience
• Theater/Front of House/Stage Management and/or Restaurant management experience a plus
• Age 21 or older
• Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work Friday and Saturday evenings and occasional weekday evening hours
• Strong customer service skills
• Quick-thinking problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn and navigate ticketing system (Ticketspice)
• Ability to interpret basic table floor plans and seating charts
• Ability to perform the essential job functions requires certain physical standards to include lifting up to 40lbs, pushing/pulling 50 lbs+ tables, reaching, bending, etc.
• Monitor the appearance of the theater, theater property, and theater staff
• Ability to work independently

Background in Theatre Arts.

Pay: Contract Labor – $160/show
